@Moshe right, then he speaks with a slightly colloquial tint. It's no big deal, both is okay. But in standard high german (which from its status is comparable to, say, Queen's english) it is a hard "g".

@Trufa in my experience, the older and more regional/dialect-y the language, the better it is for insulting.

Scots sounds like it has a lot of insulting capability too. And the south german suebian dialect spoken in small villages... Unbelievable, probably not unline hungarian
