@RebeccaChernoff Hmm, it looks like they would be different, if you were comparing the old code against the new code.
But not if you compared them to one another as they are now.
Looks like jPlayer was updated and the value for volume needs to be between 0 and 1, where it was previously between 0 and 100 (chat still sets it to 50, unless I missed a conversion).
So both the Flash and native playback are theoretically twice as loud as they used to be, but still the same volume as each other.

I apparently haven't refreshed many chat rooms since the change was made, so I guess I didn't notice myself, heh.
On the plus side, that let me COMPARE ALL TEH CODEZ!

it definitely did max at 100 at one point though
