That's why I avoid switch statements, not all languages support them and I never figured that question out.

Well it wouldn't apply to that specific line but perhaps surrounding logic.

Obviously I haven't seen your code so it may not even apply.

It's a startup check in applicationDidLaunch in my delegate.

I think it was this:

		[kSettings setValue:@"metal" forKey:@"theme"];
	}

'kTheme` is a constant for NSUserDefaults.

So I deleted that, but then the first run didn't apply a theme and the theme images didn't load.

@RebeccaChernoff - how would you switchify that if statement?

I guess it depends how often you anticipate using the functionality that requires that the post be selected.

Since arguably pressing the j key once doesn't involve that much effort, so if you aren't going to do it for every single question (since you can still scroll the page using the keyboard normally), then it's probably alright to not auto-select.
