@TheUnhandledException Oh, you know, that might not work for your case anyway since I'm not sure if you can easily programmatically handle assigning styles for different elements in the text. You can load up a stylesheet, but eh.
If I could just detect when this were happening it would be an easier solution, but it looks like I'll end up using JS to parse the HTML before sending it to Flash...

right now it just looks broken. If we could somehow tell the customer it's the website owner's fault and not that our software is broken, my boss would be happier :-)
@Tim, from there the website owners restyle it, reword it, and position it. We then extract the restyled HTML from the flash using GetVariable and store in a database
Then, when customers go to purchase that product, we take the HTML out of the database and send it back to the Flash
TL; DR: Website owner, "Sally", says "I have a new product I want everyone to buy!". Sally logs into our software and adds a new product. Sally wants her customers to be able to type text on his product, so she uploads a picture of the product and in our system, clicks "Add Text Box". Our system adds a TextField with the first available font... everything is fine so far
The text box says "Enter Text Here" in Arial. But Sally changes that to be "Merry Christmas from the (your name here) family!" and makes that in Comic Sans. She positions the text where she wants it and saves the new product.
Then, weeks later, Sally reads on a blog that Comic Sans is the worst font evar and so she decides she doesn't want it on the website anymore for her customers to use. So Sally deletes the font from our system.
Now @drachenstern decides to buy a Christmas card for his wifey...
@drachenstern goes to SallysStationety.com and finds her great new product. He pulls up the customization tool, and our system sends to the TextField: <font face="Comic Sans">Merry Christmas from the (your name here) family</font> but, the flash doesn't HAVE the Comic Sans font anymore
@TheUnhandledException But by auto-saving the HTML with the additional ,Arial that @drachenstern suggested, you'd always fallback to Arial I guess (though maybe you have to embed that in your loader...)
@TimStone When I add another font, it displays nothing. I think it literally looks for a font called "Comic Sans,Arial" rather than first "Comic Sans" and then "Arial"

@TheUnhandledException Yeah, it's hard to come up with a good solution to the problem without seeing the editing bit in action, I guess, since I get the simple case, but it seems like the editing is more complex.

So i'm just trying to make a ball bounce around the screen which should slow down due to gravity and reflect (bounce) from the wall like a normal ball would.

I love the relaxed, personal, fun atmosphere in here. The jokes about stars, jQuery, and "Oy"s. It's more personal because we're not competing and trying to "prove" ourselves in here. We use the main sites for that

I have helped a lot of people in chat. The only reward I would like when I do so is a "Thank You". What would be great is if they help me, or someone else, to "pay it forward" so to speak.
