@Sekhat Yeah, I have licenses for that as well, I keep switching back and forth, but this was the final straw. I often need to have multiple Visual Studio environments up and running, and close to 2GB used per instance is just not usable
Of course, today DevExpress can't verify my license, seems their server is giving me error messages, so I had to install the Trial version, but it'll do, better than ReSharper right now anyway
side-question, off the top of your head, can anyone here remember what the attribute name is that I can apply to a user-control property in .NET to avoid it being persisted? ie. not added to the .designer.cs file?

True. However I am careful suggesting Mac's to people, unless they are open to learning new. It took me 3 months to move over fully, and I haven't regretted the move. But I know of people who did. Like my wife :P

@Diago My girlfriend's laptop got virused... I think I got it clean, but I'm never really comfortable with a computer after an infection. (Pro tip: never loan your computer to people who are trustworthy but not tech-savvy.)
So I formatted the laptop and clean-installed my copy of 7 that I never got around to putting on my own machine.
So it's not as though I had it on my computer and downgraded to Vista, if that's the impression I gave.
Anyways, the point is, even though I don't feel like I need 7, I'm slightly saddened to not have the option anymore.
@badp I've already asked this in the chat once but it wasn't really helpful because people kept discussing the pros and cons by referring to features of 7 that I've never seen or used.
If you don't rename it to "The recycling center" or some other suitable environmentally-friendly thing immediately, I will be forced to protest with the most strongly worded language.
