@MichaelPetrotta I've always felt that trying to understand what's appropriate there involves too much effort on my part, so I just stay away altogether, heh.
I'd be willing to take some organization and motivation so I could answer questions to earn the reputation too, but that seemed more complicated, and I like to keep things simple (naturally).
When a question is closed as a duplicate, the duplicate question is selected (by the users who vote to close) and then a link to it is attached automatically to the top of the message as a blockquote.
