Well, I just want confirmation of what I suspect - which is that if I want hovering over one element to affect the style of another, I have to use javascript

i.e., if I hover over a row on a table, it can't affect the style of just one cell in the row, unless I happen to be hovering over that cell

if the cell has a class you can do: table tr:hover td.class {

but I don't think IE7 will support that

I had an argument at my last job with this Russian developer.. he basically thought sessions were magic

Even once I proved that they use a cookie, he wouldn't admit fault.

Some people just don't like to be wrong
